Agorism is built on and extends [[anarcho-capitalism|Rothbardian market anarchism]], which itself builds on and extends basic [[libertarian|libertarianism]]. To grasp agorism, one must first understand basic libertarianism, then Rothbardian market anarchism and then finally the explicitly agorist and (for breadth) related [[libertarian left|left libertarian]] bodies of thought. Each new step resolves conflicts in the previous philosophy.
